October 2014; Our physiotherapists start getting invited to guest lecture at various universities across the UK, including Coventry, Keele, Kings College, Manchester, Nottingham, Sheffield Hallam, Southampton, St George’s, UCL, UEA, UEL & Worcester

February 2015; Functional Independent Treatment for Scoliosis (FITS) is incorporated into the ScolioGold Method

August 2015; Scoliosis SOS becomes registered with all major health insurance providers for physiotherapy care

October 2015; Dry Needling & Medical Acupuncture is incorporated into the ScolioGold method

November 2015; Taping is incorporated into the ScolioGold Method

April 2016; We start offering 1:1-style outpatient sessions to patients, alongside our intensive group treatment courses.

June 2016; Former Clinical Manager Jason Black was invited to be part of the panel of scoliosis specialists from across the country to decide the top 10 Questions for Scoliosis Research at the James Lind Alliance Priority Setting Partnership

Nov 2016; Sacroiliac Joint (SIJ) & Myofascial Release therapies are incorporated into the ScolioGold Method

April 2017; We received the SOSORT Award for our research paper titled: ‘The relationship between spinal rotation and lung function in patients with scoliosis

September 2017; Our patients come from all over the world – 72 countries to be precise!

Nov 2017; Spiral Stabilisation is incorporated into the ScolioGold Method

April 2018; We had the honour to receive our first Queen’s Award for Enterprise: International Trade

November 2018; Clinic Principal Erika Maude was invited to guest lecture at the British Scoliosis Society annual conference in Belfast on her experience with scoliosis and non-surgical treatment to an audience of senior and trainee orthopaedic consultants.

February 2019; Darren Lui becomes the first orthopaedic consultant to visit our clinic

August 2019; Clinic Principal Erika Maude was interviewed by the BBC as part of a series showcasing the important role community finance can have on individuals and small businesses. Scoliosis SOS nearly didn’t happen when a high-street bank failed to authorise a start-up loan at the last minute. It was only when Foundation East an ethical loans provider stepped in that Erika was able to purchase the medical equipment she needed to open the clinic back in 2006.

November 2019; Our Birmingham & Bristol Clinics open

March 2020; We start offering virtual/online sessions to patients

July 2020; Our Manchester Clinic opens

October 2021; Our Kingston Clinic opens, in partnership with the London Orthotic Consultancy

April 2023; We had the honour to receive our second King’s Award for Enterprise: International Trade and former Clinic Practice Manager Daisy Mayhew attended on the clinic’s behalf to meet King Charles

2025; To date we have helped treat 5,893 patients from across the globe and given 13,704 consultations to educate and provide support to those with spinal conditions
